Used in the distillation of traditional Mediterranean liqueurs: “Ouzo” in Greece, “Arak” in Lebanon, “Raki” in Turkey, “Anisette”, “Pernod” and “Pastis” in France and “Mistrà” in Italy.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in subjects sensitive to anethole.
